Faithful in little.

David was an amazing character in the bible. He was able to slay the great Goliath, because of previously fighting the bear and the lion. There are tests all around us every day, whether we think they are or not. The tests have to do with family, work situations, how you treat complete strangers, to what you do when no one else is around. These tests do not take our salvation away if we fail, but they build in us our character and integrity. In your life do you desire to live for God and do great things for Him? You will not accomplish these if you aren't faithful in the little things. You will not wake up one morning and become the fastest person on the planet when you have never ran or trained a day in your life. Such thing do no come easy and can't happen without training and disicpline.

What is you mind focused on today? Are you seeking His face and relying on Him in everything? Is it your desire to serve Him no matter what? I see many people walk away from God, they no longer wish to live for Him, but choose to live for themselves. You can't live for yourself and God, one or the other has to give. We need to understand the lengths in which Christ went to save us. There almost seems to be thought that says if God doesn't measure up to me, I'm not going to follow Him. We have become so self centered thinking we can have whatever we want. God is absolute truth, love, and justice He deserves worship and praise.  I worry for this generation and how morals are crumbling and how instant everything is.

I love the song "how he loves us" written by John Mark Mcmillian
No it was not written by David Crowder. He wrote this song in spite of a very close friend that died in a car accident. In spite of the troubles and terrible days God's love for us doesn't change. We shouldn't change or commitment to Him no matter what. God has given us so much, I will be greatful for that gift for the rest of my life.  In spite of what happens in our lives, good or bad, God is worthy of praise. Be faithful in little things and you will be faithful in the big things. It isn't about me and it isn't about you, its about Him.

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord

I was thinking about the angels who cried Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord in the book of Isaiah when he saw the Lord lifted up. Thinking about how corporate worship goes along with that. How could they just sing that over and over again, you might think about that about a song a church, why sing it so many times? Its not being sung to be a broken record but to worship God. No matter what style of music or who is leading or wherever you are you should be able to close your eyes and think of how good God is and worship Him. The less we know about Him and all He has done for us shows a shallow knowledge of Him. where is your focus? Is it on tune, key, or the heartbeat of heaven. Its hard to understand and fathom the greatness of our God. He is so much bigger than all of us, all of our terrible and dark times, He is greater, He is faithful, and worthy of praise.

Its more than just knowing it in your head. It is so important to have the revelation of Him written on your hearts deep within you. Have you ever had a song that you loved? You can sing it all day over and over again. When we humble ourselves when we meditate on all He has done and all that He is we cry out and He comes. The sweet spirit of God and when in those moments you don't want them to end. You could stay there all day. What's in your heart today? Are you going through the motions? What's keeping you back? This whole world is passing away, don't neglet the mercies and grace given. Read Romans 12. Its more than just a song, its the way you live your life.

Whats coming next?

I was talking with people about the terrible things happening in Japan, they have been asking the question, what's coming next? As a christian we have a hope in Jesus and eternal security and though things are hard we do not have to fear. I see great fear growing in this world. The truth is that there are terrible things going on all over this planet that we don't even know about. I see a real deadening of peoples minds. Filling their minds with tv and things of this world they choose the lie instead of the truth because the truth is to much to bear. The reality of what's going on is scary, and things are only going to get worse. So people give up freedom for security. This movement is a rushing sunami water that everything we have will be washed away but those that trust on Jesus will be standing on the rock, the cornerstone, our solid foudation. We will not be swept away, we will not be lost. We have this message of hope and grace, Jesus is coming back, coming to rapture his people. There is no reason or need to fear, trust Him. Don't give everything of yourself to this world for it is passing away. Wake up! Have oil in your lamps.

God's heart

Thinking today about the Lord's heart today. All the lost and hurting people in this world. I wonder if the Lord still grieves over those that have committed suicide and are hurting. People that just can't handle life. Spoke with a woman today, her son committed suicide. These people cross our paths all the time, what would happen if we would share the love of Christ? All would not be lost. How this great love has impacted my life, why would I hesitate to share it. Open our eyes to see these people, give us Your heart oh Lord. Give us a burden, that your love would shine bright through our lives. Read Isaiah 61. Let us always be ready to testify of the faith we have. Let us not be so quick to judge but welcome with open arms.

renewed daily

Throughout the epistles they speak of being renewed daily.  We have the living water but we must cultivate and renew our spirits daily. Just as a plant thirst for water and  roots grow deep into the ground searching for water, we must renew our spirits. A plant without water will wither and die. A christian must learn dependency to live a rich spiritual life. Without the daily renewing our spiritual sensitivity withers and dies and we cannot hear the Lords voice. We try to walk for the Lord in our own strength , and what happens? Our love for people grows cold, are willingness to serve is not there and the old self starts to rise up where all we care about is ourselves. what are we living for? If we are saved from all the bondage's and weight of this world why should we claim to be in the light while walking in darkness. There is great importance in everyday bringing ourselves to the cross remembering why we are alive. One of my favorite songs says "lay it all down, lay it all down for the heart of heaven." With all this worlds distractions, we think we can follow the Lord in our own strength. It does not work. The grace he has given us should transform us.

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12.2

We must yield ourselves. If you would think of a hard metal, how is it shape? how is it formed? It is put in the fire to a place where it becomes soft and pliable. We must bring our lives and wills to this place willing to lay anything down.

2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.

Ephesians 4:23
And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude]

Colossians 3:10
And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.
I pray we would not be in such a hurry or too busy that we miss it. That we don't try to fit our plans into God's. But that we would fully lay it all down for the heart of Heaven.
